Dear Chamber Members:
Welcome to your Chamber website. I'm sure if you take a minute to browse through the Membership Directory you'll find members you never realized belonged to the Evans Chamber of Commerce. This is a vital and exciting time for the City of Evans and the Chamber and we are all proud to be a part of it!
We believe our Business After Hours are the best in the region for getting to know your fellow business people and meeting new friends. They are always from 5-7 on the 3rd Thursday of each month. The best part is that they are free of charge! Download a full schedule for 2009 HERE.
We offer a series of seminars that have been highly rated by their participants. They are held at least once a month at a reduced rate to Chamber members.
Our THANX program in which businesses and their employees receive PERX (discounts) has been very popular. If you haven't signed up for this already be sure to give me a call to take advantage of the reduced prices.
We are also working on programs to involve our schools and our very active Senior community here in Evans.
I'm open to any ideas any of you have for new programs or services. Please call me (970-330-4204) or stop by the office in the Jack Meakins Community Resource Center (3700 Golden St. in Evans) for information on any of our programs, your business concerns or to let me know what your Chamber can do for you.
Best regards,
Michele Jones Executive Director

Our July Business After Hours will be held at Zac's Legacy Foundation Offices, 2990 W. 29th St. in Greeley. It's being co-hosted by Country Inn & Suites by Carlson. It should be a good one. Zac's Legacy is a foundation established to help with the financial needs of parents of child cancer victims and has a nice office space inside an insurance office. Country Inn & Suites is one of Greeley's finest hotels and is excited to be part of this BAH. The Evans Police Department plans on being there to let all our members know what's going on with them and include us in some of their new ideas. It's from 5 -7 and offers a superb networking and friendship opportunity and, as always, IT'S FREE TO MEMBERS! |

EvansFest is on its way! It's not too early to begin thinking about the Chamber and the City's big event of the year. This September it falls on the 11th and 12th.
The evening of the 11th is our FREE concert and fireworks display. We have just signed the band THE NORTHERN WAY! You can hear them at the Mile High Music Festival earlier this summer. They're a great crowd-pleaser and very popular. We feel extremely lucky to have them here for EvansFest. The 12th begins with the Fun Run, Pancake Breakfast, Parade, Kid's Activites, Food Court, Beer Garden, Entertainment and of course the world famous NasCan Races.
The theme of this year's parade is "PLAY WITH EVANS' which pays homage to our wonderful city parks and all the programs that the Recreation Department has for sports for all ages.
The Food Court vendors have already been chosen. They are Schwartz's Krautburger Kitchen, BBQ Hut, Old Chicago, Palomino Mexican Restaurant, HoneyBaked Ham and Anthony Gonzalez Concessions. YUM!
The booths and parade apps. can be downloaded here. There are 2 parade applications and one vendor application. If you have any questions you can call Michele at (970) 330-4204 or email at ecc@evanschamber.org. Details will follow as they become available. |
